Danny Howard ft. Eli & Fur – If You Were (Nothing Else Matters)

This track will always be special to me given that we launched the new era Nothing Else Matters label with it but it also was the first time I showcased a different side to my sound going down the progressive house route. It was a bit of a risk but it ended up going #1 on Beatport so it was a real moment. I’m currently working on a follow up with Eli & Fur so watch this space…

Dombresky & Boston Bun – Stronger (Danny Howard ‘Stronger Together’ Remix) (Toolroom)

This was the first remix I made during lockdown back in March so I wanted to make sure it was uplifting, pumping & party vibes! Super happy with how this turned out and it serves as a reminder that we are all stronger together and we’ll come out the other end of this if we keep our heads up. Good times will come…

Danny Howard – Beat Control (Nothing Else Matters)

It was my secret weapon all summer last year with everyone asking me what ‘that Technotronic remix was’ and finally earlier this year, I unleashed it into the world. A proper stomper this one!

Danny Howard – Pumpin’ (Nothing Else Matters)

I went through a phase of making super raw, stripped back old skool sounding house bangers this year and this one is probably my favourite out the lot for 2020. It’s a solid shuffler that I’m still to test out in the clubs due to F’ing covid but until then, it certainly shakes the speakers at home.

Danny Howard, Felix Da Housecat & Mr H’s – Acid Hammer Train (Sola)

One of my first Ibiza memories was watching Felix Da Housecat close the main room at Space for We Love Sundays and now to be collaborating with him is an honour. I’ve got so much respect for his music and to be quite honest, I was surprised when he agreed to jump on the track and give us that amazing vocal! Another one that is a victim of no clubs but I can’t wait to bang it out eventually, a true club banger!

Danny Howard x Illyus & Barrientos ft. Alex Mills – Need (Toolroom)

I remember the boys sending me a drum beat with Alex’s vocal roughly placed over and them saying, we need a bass line for this. A bass line I did, but also ended up adding the stabs, doing a rough arrangement and some additional production before sending it back. I basically muscled in on there track haha! Luckily they were into the idea, we finished it off together and ‘Need’ was complete. There’s another collab in the works too…

Danny Howard – Cosmic Girl (Toolroom)

So this was actually the b-side to my track ‘Havwest’ but it’s one of my favourite tracks I’ve ever done with the cheeky Happy Clappers sample in there and it also goes off. Because this one fell so far under the radar, it was and still is my secret weapon at gigs!

Danny Howard ft. Mr V – In Need Of Acid (Moon Harbour)

This one I made around the same time as the Felix Da Housecat track and as you’ll hear, I was really loving the acid that week! I did what I thought was a cool beat then Mr V just sent over this incredible spoken vocal that just takes you to another dimension! Big up for Matthias Tanzmann for picking it up for his legendary label Moon Harbour too.

Mark Knight & Danny Howard – You Can Do It Baby (Toolroom)

I couldn’t do this without mentioning my little banger with the boss man could I! I remember when we talked about doing a collab Mark sent me a folder of bare bones ideas and it was the little vocal loop ‘You can do it baby’ that stuck in my head for days, I said ‘that is THE one!’. A good few studio sessions later it was done and it’s one of the collabs I’m most proud of because of how many people would come up to me at gigs singing it, a real crowd pleaser!

Shadow Child – Ooh Tune (Danny Howard Remix) (Food Music)

One of my most popular remixes was this and I remember being on a flight to Ibiza then all of a sudden a girl walked up to where I was sitting and just started blasting it on her phone to the whole plane! haha. It was surreal but when she said her and her mates had been listening to it all the way to the airport, it really put a smile on my face! Big up to the girl from Birmingham, whoever you are!
